If I've been kicked off Section 8 because of not being able to find a place soon enough, am I eligible to reapply?

Most Section 8 landlords never answer their phones.

You would have to start the entire process again.

Yes, But you needed to adapt to circumstances. A lot of landlords rent through property managers or other agencies. I reside in central NJ and most landlords rent direct. But when searching in other areas, I found that the only way to get appointments to visit properties was through websites. The method was to post a resume with the website, and when seeing a listing of interest, you needed to click on "Request Appointment." You would the receive a text with the time and you would have to send 1 to confirm, 2 to cancel. It was very frustrating because even calling their office they would refer you to the website. When I did this, I happened to be helping a friend with a Section 8 voucher that was set to expire. We made it with just days to spare. [She was disabled from injuries sustained in a car accident and was a first-rate tenant].
