Okay, for a vessel with a sail you can talk about its 'sailing behaviour'. What would you say for a vessel without a sail? 'Cruising behaviour'? 'Manoeuvring behaviour"? Any experts (or boating enthusiasts) in the know?

Yachts don't necessarily have sails. In fact, these days most don't. By definition, a yacht is any sail or power vessel used for pleasure or cruising.
