Just got the job as a conductor trainee for KCsouthern railroad. After reading the reviews, my excitement had gone down. Any workers on here?

Any workers on here who can let me know if it’s really THAT bad of a place to work at?

The work is surprisingly difficult to do and to learn. Only the smartest and toughest make it. But the pay is excellent, considering you bring so little to the job from the start. The hours are rigorously irregular. The jobs go from routine to complicated. There is an open book rules test that will take you 2 months to prepare for, followed by an intense oral examination. If you are frail or out of shape, you will not be chosen. The jobs are highly sought after. And last, but not least, getting fired for rules infraction is common. Do this for your family and you will be a hero, mark my word!

If you don't want to do the work, WHY did you apply for the job?
