Construction workers do not have the authority to write tickets. Unless a cop was there or surveilance cameras you should be fine. Luckily you were safe. Sounds like it was the construction workers error anyway. I wouldn't sweat it.

I would very much like to see you get a ticket for that, but the truth is that worker probably can't be bothered to report you, even if it would result in a ticket. Do us all a favor and pull your head out of your anus when driving and pay attention to the road. .

Don't ask here; I once asked about a stop9on a Posted , Private RR crossing, all said a stop was a Stop, etc, when I Know a stop in a private place, like mall parking lot or private street, is not legal. I Lived on a private road with a "stop" all of us paid for and erected, so I know. Ask your City Hall or a cop. Should report worker for that Nebulous sign holding. Limp-wristed LGBT, hired on Affirmative Action?

I doubt you will get a ticket as construction workers do not have the authority. But, if he was a cop, yes, he could ticket you through the mail. There is no "accidentally" in your scenario. You were not paying close attention and proceeding with caution or you would have seen the stop sign. These guys know better than to turn the sign in time to alert motorists to stop. You were just following the cars in front of you without paying close attention to the sign until it was too late. From now on, be hyper alert during times when there are construction crews on the roads. They have very dangerous jobs, to be standing there, unprotected as their exposure to the cars can land them in the hospital at a moment's notice. Just stay alert from now on and everything will be okay. I highly doubt you will get a ticket, so relax.

Well ANY person with the flagman job must assume he is invisible or wind up dead.. Far too many morons driving cars and surely he has frequent close calls yours sounds quite minor.
