Tips on how to approach curves?

For sharp turns, do I do hand over hand steering? I tend to slow down a lot and make slight turns on the wheel. I'm afraid that I'll flip the vehicle over if I'm driving over 15mph

Proper steering technique is to hold the wheel at 9 and 3 o'clock and when turning, use the push-pull method. The old method of hand-over-hand is no longer recommended due to the steering wheel airbag. Should it go off, you don't want your arm directly in front of the airbag.

When you've been driving a while you'll pick it up. Safe to say " I'm afraid that I'll flip the vehicle over if I'm driving over 15mph" you currently have no clue.

you would have to go a LOT faster than 15mph to flip your car.

If your car flips over at 15mph then it must be one POS and would sell it immediately. The trick is putting your palm of your left hand at 12 oclock, press down on the wheel until the turn is fully done then left go of the wheel until straight. I don't even think about it anymore.

American cars are not designed to take curves because most of the roads are straight. The problem with the square system most junctions are at right angles which isn't good for cornering. If you are talking about bends on the road just ease off on the gas as you approach them and reapply gas as you reach the apex. If you are talking about turning at a junction then do all your braking before you reach it and try to angle your turn to flow smoothly around the corner. If you need to be doing less than 15 mph to take the turn safely then do less than 15mph
