I assume the speaker uses bluetooth, if so your HP desktop must support bluetooth as well, update your post with the model numbers of both the HP desktop and the speaker for us to check

Try turning speakers off then back on. If that dont work try turning Bluetooth off on all devives connected then recconect all devices including your PC Speakers and see if plays now(if your speakers are Bluetooth wireless)
