What is the cheapest cell phone with excellent camera quality?
I'm replacing my old Galaxy J3 Emerge. I'd like to get something with a better camera, both for taking photos and for taking rock climbing videos.
So my main interest is camera quality, but I don't want to dish out $800-$900 if there's a much less expensive phone with a camera that's only marginally inferior.

Use a gopro or other action camera for rock climbing, that's what they are designed for. Chose the phone based on other features you desire.

If that’s what you’re using it for then it’s probably best to get a cheap phone and buy a decent and durable camera that is suitable for rock climbing.
