Can you get in trouble for selling proprietary items on ebay?

So I used to work for time warner cable and have a bunch of splitters lying around. I have 2 ways, 3 ways, 4 ways and even 5 ways. This was back in 2013. I was just cleaning and came across them. Time warner doesn't even exist anymore (now spectrum) and was wondering if it's a crime to sell them. I thought about posting them on Ebay for like a buck each. What am I gonna do with em? They are labeled with the time warner logo...I guess if I really tried I could peel em off. If not I'll just pitch em.

Not necessarily a crime, but not a good idea without authorization. Besides, there are so many splitters so readily available at ordinary stores that there is little very money to be gained from the ones you have. Try turning them in to Spectrum. If they say it's OK for you to keep them, then you can do what you like with them.

They don't belong to you.
