I vacuumed up moist soil, had no choice, is my vacuum cleaner damaged?

We had a rental car that we were due to taking it back. We had to haul mulch that was in our wrecked Toyota Tacoma in the rental car. It busted and got all over the seat, so I took my eurkea rally 2 vacuum cleaner and started vacuuming up the moist dirt. It successfully vacuumed all the moist dirt up and when I opened the compartment to change the vacuum bag, the vacuum bag was damp at the bottom. I still vacuum with it, would that moist dirt hurt it or impair it in anyway? I had two shop vacs in the past and they died without an apparent reason. This is not a shop vac, this is a Eureka Rally 2 vacuum cleaner.

home depot has 30 dollar 30 gallon light plastic shop vacs with hoses & attachments, the lil suckers really suck, empty them warsh out the filter, run the hose under the bathtub spigot, use paper towels ( the 2 ply can be divided, wrapped around the filter housing with rubber bands,,after using,,toss them,,no mess n fuss with the built in filter mesh mush,,yuck) let the thing dry with a blast of the space heater

disassemble it ... use an air blower and clean it in the yard....

It will be perfectly OK.

Open the vacuum up, remove the bag, let it sit over nite to dry out.

It'll be fine. Just make sure your vacuum has a chance to dry out so mold doesn't catch, leave it open in a warm place for a while.
