If AR doesnt work then why does color alive work? (ipad 3 / iphone 6)?

The Crayola Color Alive coloring sets and app came out four years ago, for the phones and tablets that existed then. Apple's ARKit software asks more from the device, in the way of image processing and motion detection. The A9 chip in the iPhone 6s (the oldest device supported) has twice the graphics ability than the original 6, and built-in circuitry to do math on the motion sensor data faster.
