What does everyone think of the Texas Roadhouse restaurant chain?

I like their brown bread and cajun pasta with shrimp and chicken pieces. A decent dish every time I've ordered from TR.

Their bread & butter is the best out there, but Longhorn is better for steak

I like their bread the most. Very memorable and delicious. Their steaks are hit or miss in terms of preparation. The cooks often get the temperature wrong for me. But, one good thing is that they'll always offer to remake them. The problem is that it takes a while and even the remakes sometimes come out not correct. But, I've gotten a free dinner from them in those cases. Still, they could use some improvements in the steak temp cooking department. Otherwise, I like the value for their meals. Not too pricey and decent food all-around. I like them more than Longhorn Steakhouse personally. ...Also, you get two sides for entrees at TXRH, which is cool. That's on top of the free bread and peanuts.

They are usually pretty noisy, but the food is good. Personally, if you can find a Cheddar's, you will get better service, better food, and leave with more money in your pocket and no peanut shells on your shoes.

Not my fav. Usually too loud to talk with table mates. It's basically a loud bar with some accidental food. If you like steak, find a local steakhouse or a chain like Capital Grill or Ruth Chris.
