Does he think I cant make it?
I told my prof that I want to go for a PhD and he stared at me for like 15 seconds before saying “I also used to didn’t know what I wanted to do”. What did he mean? Is he against it because I’m female? He’s young and a few years older.

He's like saying that you don't know what you want, which if applied to your question nearly definitely means he thinks you'll never do it. How's your grade going in that class?
