What are some good tv shows?

If you liked Parks & Rec, try The Office, Brooklyn 99, and The Good Place as Michael Schur had a hand in all four. If you like Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, you will probably like 30 Rock as UKS is Tina Fey driven. And 30 Rock is a jillion times better than UKS. Try Modern Family. If you liked Friends you'll probably like How I Met Your Mother. These are all basically sitcoms...possibly excepting Good Place which has a sitcom like structure, but is loaded with fantastic philosophical exploration of ethics...mixed with a sitcom. My point is that it isn't as LOL loaded as a great sitcom, but it's deeper, seeking to blend laughs and brains. I would also suggest some great shows that maybe are a little less like the shows you named. Arrested Development (first 3 seasons only...the Netflix seasons were AWFUL). Archer is a half hour cartoon that starts off as a parody of spy shows and is quite raunchy, but SO funny. South Park is a (poorly) animated show that mixes comedy and political messages very well. Warning, they also like crude humor and can get pretty gross at times...but then other times it's some of the smartest satire on television. Simpsons in it's first several seasons was outstanding...just stop after the late 90s. You were clear you wanted 30 minute shows, but if you're willing to consider longer and like very funny but zany comedy, I would advise Hulu's Future Man, Netflix's Santa Clarita Diet, BBC's Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls, and Veronica Mars. These are all dram-edies, but they're all very funny, and you seemed to want funny. Do you like British comedy? If so, Monty Python, Black Adder, Father Ted, Mr/ Bean, Office (UK) are all good.

There are not many 30 minute shows anymore.I have watched The Connors, Will &Grace and Murphy Brown plus Brooklyn 99.
