My daughter moved to an apartment, her daughter says there are ladybugs inside, like she's counted at least a dozen, WHY?

Probably Asian beetles. They look like ladybugs. They get in through tiny openings in the structure and enter the room through light fixtures and such. They bite, and stink if you crush them. Just vacuum them up.

They tend to find a warm place to nest over winter. As long as there is no food or water, they will die, or you could find their nest and move it outside.
