Should I put melted low-fat cheese on my salad in lieu of salad dressing as a healthier alternative?

I just got my salad and I was thinking if I should get some queso from the Mexican restaurant to pour on top.

Try it with just a drizzle of balsamic vinegar - much healthier than cheese or an oil based dressing.

I have learned to like salad with NO dressing. If you want a dressing, shake together some extra-virgin olive oil with some balsamic vinegar and drizzle just a LITTLE over your salad.

Low fat cheese on a salad?? Seriously!!! If you want to keep it low fat squeeze over some lemon and prinkle with salt and pepper maybe some chilli seeds. Or a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Cheese on salad is a bad bad idea!!!

eew, no. If you're worried about using too much dressing, try this. Instead of pouring the dressing over your salad, dip your fork into the dressing before you stab a bite of salad. It should be plenty, and you won't eat an excessive amount because it's slathered all over your lettuce.

cheese and fruit is nice with salad

I omit salad dressing and I put a combination of berries, nuts and crumbled cheese either blue or feta. The combination of the berries and the cheese makes the salad "moist" enough so it seems like there is a dressing on it.
