A question regarding the Pokemon TCG and their weakness / resistance.?

Suppose I have a Pokemon in play who has a weakness to lightning energy. I know that when my opponent deals damage to it with their active lightning Pokemon, it will deal twice the amount of damage. But let's suppose that their Pokemon isn't a lightning type. Maybe it's a Dragon type. And that attack they use requires lightning energy attached to it to be used. Does that attack still deal 2x damage, since it requires lightning energy?

In the TCG, only the pokemon's type matters. A pokemon that is weak to Lightning, will take additional damage from any attack from a Lightning-type pokemon, regardless of the energy used for the specific move. Likewise if a Dark-type pokemon uses a move with a Lightning energy requirement, only weakness/resistance to Dark is taken into account.
