My dishes accumulate dust so what to do)?

Hi..many of my utensils accumulate dust , some more than others, while stored in cabinet. When I'm ready to serve food, should I wash the utensils before and dry it with a towel, then put food on it?

Mine might. But I just leave the pots, pans, dishes in the sink full of water so just dump the water out of the pot,pan,dish to use again.

How long do you go without using them, that they would collect dust???? Have you changed your furnace filter lately? Put a paper towel over them
