Repairing Hot Snapz seam?

My Hot Snapz hand warmer seam is about to split. I usually recharge it in the microwave (which is surprisingly safe). Is there a way to repair the seam and still recharge the warmer in the microwave?

Any repair is likely microwave safe. The issue is an effective repair, which is unlikely possible.
