Why do dogs like peanut butter?

I don't think they'd eat nuts or legumes in the wild.

They won't find Cheetos in the wild but dogs will eat the hell out of those. They eat what tastes good to them.

If they could find peanuts in the wild they would certainly eat them. I had a dog that ate peaches that fell off the tree. Not good. My dogs eat broccoli, asparagus, eggs, bananas and all nuts.

Dunno cos my pair of dogs dont so why generalise. Peanut butter is mostly sugar so bad shite to give too a dog anyhow it causes diabetes, blindness, and rotten teeth in dogs along with many other complaints also
