Is 'breaking' horses and destroying their will, a sin against God and nature?

If you destroyed a horse's will, you wrecked the horse. Few know a thing about "breaking" a horse these days. Smart riders change the horse's will, you become friends if you treat them well.

Absolutely not! Ever see baby animals playing together? Ever see tamed animals loving their owners? This was the way nature was meant to be. Animals in the wild are living as the result of a broken world. The fear and dread of humans were put into them after the great flood. Check this out; touching video of a lion and men... https://youtu.be/0ZIQUb-d4GQ Gen. 9.1 "And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. 2The fear and dread of you will fall on every living creature on the earth, everybird of the sky, every creature that crawls on the ground, and all the fish of the sea. They are delivered into your hand.3Everything that lives and moves will be food for you; just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you all things.…" Notice? There were no carnivores pre-flood, and this decree makes it clear that animals and man were communing together without fear before the flood. This will be restored when Jesus comes back. You ready? PS. For your own sake, as someone who has worked with animals... I suggest that it is much easier to raise them from babies than it is to tame them after the fact.

Breaking is an antiquated term. Horses are trained and not in a way that breaks their will. I don't know what you've been watching, but you need to watch some natural horsemanship videos to see how it's really done.

I don't look on this as 'breaking ' anything (just as I don't use breaking, for house training a puppy). Backing, so the horse can be ridden .... why not provided it's done kindly.

Breaking is not what you think it is. It is simply training. Now some people really do destroy the will of their animals and that is just awful. However horses are domesticated and training them is not a bad thing.

Horses are domesticated animals. In other words they already are your friend. Umm...is beating on your kids and breaking their will a sin against god and nature? Aren't you kids those wild things we see running around? Just so you and all your nut friends know cruelity to animals and that includes horses is illegal here in the united States and most other civilised areas of the world. Leave cruelity to your fantasied Hollywood shows. It's where it belongs.

It's their "won't" we don't want to keep - by enhancing and directing their "will." This can't be done by breaking it. It is done through socialization and training, not breaking.

Jeff

I know how to "break" a horse - but how does one destroy its will? Do you deprive it of carrots? Oh - and, by the way - no gods exist.

Probably. It's not OK to eat them.
