We too are the same kind of stuff as other animals. We are just one of a myriad of possibilities of multicellular forms. The form that we are endures to live on. What we are we are. And no amount of mentalising will change it. We cannot change our own natures. To a certain extent we are programmable organisms. We learn from experience and develop life strategies.
