Why do cities like Houston, LA, Chicago and NYC clam to be a diverse City when they are one of the most sergested cities in America?

Houston is pretty integrated. So is LA, Chicago, not so much. So maybe you so rephrase your question, making Chicago your lead. By the way, have you ever been to those cities, or are you just reading from a chart? (I have, and those are my observations.)
