Who was the first Jewish major league baseball player to go into the Baseball Hall of Fame?

When was that and which team(s) was he on?

Pretty sure that was slugger Hank Greenberg. Edit: Oh! You asked about team. Detroit Tigers.

I am not sure but I do think that Levi Meyerle should be looked at. He won the first batting title in 1871 as a member of the Philadelphia A's in the old National Association. He played 8 years all together winning one more batting title. ( Although back then I am sure having the best batting average was not called a batting champion.
