What can i use to numb the pain? i spar with my cousin who is a heavyweight pro and i get hit with a ton of body shots?
not ibuprofen/tylenol/advil. is there any numbing cream or something that gets all the way to the muscles underneath so i don't feel them as much during rounds? any help would be appreciated. thanks!

Icy Hot, or the generic equivalent. If you're getting HURT from sparring, the logical thing would be NOT to spar.

If you want to play a painful game you have to learn to live with it. Hitting the meds will most likely end up in an opiate addiction. I used to play rugby so I understand what it's like. Beer (in moderation) and plenty of rest and sleep are what I recommend. Oh, and a lot of sit-ups.
