Is karate or Muay Thai more effective?

More effective for??? For ring fighting I think Muay Thai. For self defense, I think it could go either way depending on the instructor. Against weapons, I think Karate has a been of a leg up on Muay Thai if taught correctly.

Since I teach Karate, I am partial to it. When I was in competition, I have a trophy from so many different style tournaments. I can only believe Karate is more effective.

Neither is more effective. It is the person that makes the art, not the other way round. There is no 'best' martial art.....there are 'bad' martial arts, but usually because it's a god-awful 'martial artist'.
