Help my lutz?

Still hate this jump. For whatever reason, my free foot is a weighted sack of bricks. It doesn’t do anything in the jump. When I remember it then 1/4 of the way in the rotation I kick it up towards my knee like I’m flipping pancakes with my instep. What should my free foot be doing to help rotate the jump? My coach tells me all the time what to do, but maybe if I hear it worded differently then I’ll have an ah hah moment and land this stupid jump

Your free foot should be locked in an “H- Position”. Basically the same position your free leg is in when you do a Loop or a Flip. When you do a lutz, make sure the free leg is locked in that position until you land on the ground.
