Orthodox Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Buddhism are official religions in Russia. No problems. To expand on this- Your neighbor may be Russian, Tatar, Chechen, Jew or Buddhist. If they are a good person, religion matters not. If they're a drunk, thief, druggie, etc, they are a scoundrel regardless of religious affiliation. Here in Russia, a person is a person.
