Passed road test almost 3 months ago but still haven't received license in mail?

I passed my road test on November 4th and I still haven't received my license in the mail yet. The temporary paper one they gave me expires on Monday so if it doesn't come by then I can't drive until it does come. Me and my parents have tried calling the DMV several times and each time they said it was coming and to wait for it. Is it supposed to take this long to come?? November 5th** not the 4th

You should have received it by now. Check to see what address they (the DMV) used. DMV's will not send mail to a PO box and a postal carrier cannot (will not) deliver first class mail to an address if you do not live at that address. Postal employee

Go back to the DMV and get another temporary paper one.

Since it's been almost 3 months, it would probably be best to go down to your state's DMV in person and talk to them about it, instead of talking to them on the phone. They might want to cancel your license (the one you've never received), take another picture, and issue a new license with a completely different license number. In many states, when you are originally issued a driver's license (or when you renew an existing license), you are issued a piece of paper that shows exactly how your permanent license will look, except that it's printed on paper and it's in black & white. That is your driver's license, for you to use until you receive your colored, laminated license in the mail. You DO have a driver's license now, and usually the temporary license doesn't expire. When I last renewed my license, there was no expiration date printed anywhere on the paper license. The only expiration date anywhere was the expiration date of my permanent license. If your temporary license IS about to expire, the DMV will issue you a new one to replace it.

Depends some on ACTUAL STATE - Kalifornicatia has some delays from bad address, employees sloppy. Illinois will give you license at counter for extra $100.00 to clerk- used to anyway. Fees to be paid may have open account from credit card in process and that may add 10 to 20 days. Again, ACTUAL STATE process varies- Secratary of state will give info in Illinois, County Clerks office in Iowa handles most of drivers license and registration- but Polk County has DOT offices and some other cities also. Find out which department in DMV issues license--and if State is REAL ID Compliant may need to go to office to get picture taken first.

Go to the DMV and ask when it was delivered and what address it was sent to. They probably entered your address wrong. Not unusual.
