How fast and reliable is cloud storage (such as OneDrive) compared to HHD or SSD?

For me, personally Onedrive is very slow compared to HDD and SSD. It depends on your wifi connection and it sometimes takes a long time to upload a large document. For me, I only backup my most important files to Onedrive. However, Onedrive maybe hacked by highly intelligent hackers who have passwords to Outlook and Hotmail. So, maybe you can buy an external HDD to backup your documents. I think Google Drive is faster.

Onedrive should be properly backed up in the Cloud. Do you routinely back up your HDD or SSD? Onedrive is much slower than your HDD or SSD as the speed you can upload and download files is limited by your Internet connection.

The speed depends on your internet connection to upload & download. SSD would likely be the fastest because it is stored locally on a drive that has no moving parts. Cloud storage is more convenient than anything since it is accessible pretty much anywhere & your local drive doesn't take a hit in storage.

HDDs are slower compared to SSDs as SSDs are newer and more efficient - which is why you see people putting their System OS on SSDs so it will load faster. Now cloud storage depends on your wifi speed, for me as Nicey8 said: One drive is very slow - it is for me as well but that's because I have so much on there it has to load a lot.
