I am homeschooled; Can my transcript consist of basic academics?

I want to apply for a college that is not very competitive; 88% acceptance rate to be more precise. However, it does require a transcript. I have studied Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts, all a high school level. I did do Drivers Ed if that counts as well. I am going to get my GED And my ACT very soon. I think I am good at these subject I just hope they are enough to score me a good chance of being accepted. The school claims to be open admissions

Your high school transcript should include a list of your courses with credits and grades for each subject you took in 9th - 12th grade. If your parent(s) put that transcript together for you and you take you ACT, you should be good to go. Check online for the college's admissions requirements for homeschoolers. Most college websites will have a section in admissions specifically for homeschooled students. I see no reason why you would take the GED. The GED has a negative stigma. When someone sees "GED" on an application, the assumption (right or wrong) is that this person dropped out of high school. Homeschoolers have no need for a GED. Their transcript is proof of graduation. My kids were homeschooled, took ACT and/or SAT, and went to universities -- no GED for any of them. There is no need.

With an 88% acceptance rate, most likely that will be fine. But what you should do is contact the admissions office for the college year you’re applying to. They can speak to their admissions requirements, we don’t send out the letters
