However you think she'd like ... down on one knee or not, ring or not, in a special spot, in private vs. public, etc. Only you can answer this question. I don't see what her occupation has to do with this.

The same way you'd propose to any woman. You know her tastes (fancy, casual, outspoken, whatever) so use her personality as a guide.

Perhaps rethink this - how do you wish to propose to the woman you want to spend your life with? All else is secondary.
