What are tiger nuts?
they are under the tail of all male tigers.....lol
They are the name given by the UK brand 'Walkers', for their coated peanuts, they come in flavours like salt and vinegar or sweet chilli, they are very delicious.
They're chufa/nut sedge tubers. They're mostly advertised as "tigernuts", though. They're supppsed to be rich in fiber (a lot of fiber! More than most whole grains), healthy fats and natural sugars and they apparently taste sweet and vaguely of coconut. I've seen them for sale on Amazon for a pretty cheap price, but I've never bought any. I believe they used to be a popular "superfood" for awhile. They're also (sadly) fairly popular as a food plot plant for wild turkeys because hunters discovered that the birds like to eat them.
