Strange game I used to play as a kid in the 90s/ early 2000s?

I’m trying to remember what this weird game is...or if it even really existed. If I’m not making it up in my head and actually remember correctly it had a weird tournament bracket set up, there were chips with the players on them, a lot of the characters were like weird body builder warrior people. Kind of reminded me of wrestling with a touch of medieval/sci fi/ space? Maybe close to the warhammer games which I was only made aware of a year ago in my 20s, so it’s not that. It was a physical game, not PC or anything. This sounds bizarre I know. But if anyone has any idea what I’m talking about, even if you don’t remember the name of the game either. Just let me know that I’m not making up some weird crazy thing in my head.
