Is it normal to have asthma without the wheezing or coughing?

Do any other asthma sufferers have this? My asthma is where I can breathe deeply, but it at times doesn't feel complete. I never cough, or anything. I woke up with my diaphragm(?) hurting, maybe from too much deep breaths during the night. Is that normal for anyone?

It's a good idea to see a doctor and talk about your symptoms. Asthma typically involves wheezing and coughing but you can still have a form of asthma without these symptoms. Some people may call this "air trapping." If you continue to take deep breaths, you will have muscle pain from all of the extra work. It's also possible that stress/anxiety is making you feel like your breathing is not satisfying. Either way, it's a good idea to talk to a doctor.
