If I have scalp ringworm how can I prevent giving it to my cat and other family members?

I was misdiagnosed with alopecia Areata. It was actually ringworm. Just found out but I also found out that it is highly contagious. Does everyone in my family have to take medicine now including my cat???

Never touch your scalp and then pet your cat and keep your cat away from pillows or pillow cases. Wearing a cap would help a lot. Ive had ringworm before and it cleared up pretty quickly, but it wasn't on my scalp.
