Chop Suey -- invented in San Francisco. Fortune Cookies Nachos -- although invented on the Mexican side of the border border by a Mexican, it is an American food and rarely found in Mexico. There are a number of Tex-Mex fusion dishes and many Creole dishes that America claims as their own
