Bad parents?

It's not necessarily bad parenting as such. But I personally believe that kids should have a say in things like hairstyles. My son is 14 and I allow him to decide for himself how he wants his hair. I've given him this choice for many years too. Works fine for us.

Good news, once you turn 18 you can move out and take all that control back.

My parents made me get short hair when I was a teen and I hated it. Now, when I think back, I remember all the time my mom spent washing, detangling, brushing and braiding my hair, and wonder how she managed, since we were a large family with 6 girls. That also meant she was likely pregnant and/or nursing an infant most of the time. And she was a stay at home mother. I don't know how a mother with a job could handle it.
