Driving is not exactly a sport (it is a competition). But you need stamina to focus or you will crash. Golf is definitely a sport if you understand and play golf professionally. Please dont watch old people play golf to kill time. Watch professional golfers such as Bubba Watson who flexes his body on the tee to hit his driver 330 yards away. See the 100% body rotation and see if you can do the same.

Race drivers are definitely athletes. Think of it as two straight hours plus of precision wrestling or weight lifting. Golf is much less strenuous sport, but it does require a certain skill set.
