It seems Naomi Osaka and Novak Djokovic are on a roll, both winning Us and Australian Opens. Could this be the year of a Grand Slam...?

....winning all 4 majors in the same year? They're both playing well.

Chuck: Good question

Good question :-) It’s *possible.* The thing is, the pro tour is very, very, very loaded with highly-skilled players. That is why we occasionally see a player ranked below the top 100 defeating someone in the top 10. The ATP singles rankings have about 2000 players on the list. To get into the top 100, a player needs to have everything going for him, including a strong support team. It is really not an individual sport - more like race-car driving, with a team supporting their driver (player).

In order to win a calendar year Grand Slam, you have to win all four events in a calendar year. The Aussie is only the first of four needed, it's way to early to speculate.
