What does the flight status say if a plane crashes?

I've always wondered what the flight status would say for a plane that has crashed. Morbid curiosity of mine lol. I looked up crashed flight numbers on sites like Flightaware or other status sites and can't find anything cause they happened a while back. Would the flight status just say "delayed" or would it be something like "unavailable"? Thanks for answering!

How kind you are with your morbid curiosity. It is considered common courtesy to first tell concerned family members of the situation regarding their family members. The only thing anyone knows the first few minutes is that the flight arrival is DELAYED. The Airport screens are not a news service feed with details. I looked up crashed flight numbers on sites like Flight aware or other status sites and can't find anything cause they happened a while back. REALLY . There is lots of information on older flights on Flightaware if you are willing to PAY for it. For your Morbid curiosity http://www.planecrashinfo.com/ http://www.baaa-acro.com/ http://avherald.com/ https://web.archive.org/web/20060707005718/http://www.airdisaster.com/cgi-bin/database.cgi The screen may say SEE Agent. ALL Airline staff DO NOT get complete updates minute by minute. They might know the plane has crashed, they might know about where it did. THEY do not know the next second the names of every injured and details of their injuries. they DO NOT KNOW instantaneously the number of dead or their names. They do not know the exact cause of the crash.
