If a user calls another user out by name in a question, might it be considered etiquette to give them Best Answer?

NO call-outs are against the guidelines and should be reported, not encouraged

El Nerdo Loco

It used to be we'd all tell the poster it wasn't cool and then people would be able to vote on the best answer if one wasn't picked by the asker. It probably wouldn't have taken the person the question was about anything more than one decent bit of wit to win that.

It's considered a violation by Yahoo Answers, according to the Community Guidelines and should be reported as such. Calling out, posting about, or discussing other users isn't acceptable here. YA isn't a chat site.
