Can I rent from same apartment complex I was previously evicted from?

I was evicted from these apartments 6 years ago...I’m assuming I still would owe money because there was a civil case going on. I’m just curious if I could rent there again.

You could put in an application, they'll probably get a good laugh over this one.

LILL

Only if the landlord is a complete idiot.

DEBS

That is their choice, but if you look at it logically..... You screwed them over once and have cost them a lot of time and money trying to collect what you owe them. Why would they trust you again?

Beverly S

They are not going to rent to someone they had to evict.. in fact no one else will either till you pay what you owed..

sunshine_mel

You can apply. If you owe money, it makes it easier for them to track you down.

Pascal the Gambler

Doubtful, but no law prevents it.

Judy

not likely

R P

Really? Is this a serious question? If it is, it is highly unlikely that you will be approved for residency. You should apply anyway

Slabberdasken

That would be up to t he landlord.

vic

If there is a different owner you should be able to

ReneeGade

Why would they trust you again? Why haven't you paid your bill? Your credit should suck. I wouldn't rent to you, no matter. I was a property manager for awhile, and people have to at least LOOK good on paper or you don't get a chance. It is too expensive and inconvenient to evict someone to ever give them another chance. Why wouldn't you screw me again? Even relative will screw you.

Sheri2271

More than likely not, but it doesn't hurt to ask

Casey Y

You can apply...they may or may not remember... If they have computers...they will figure it out.

I highly doubt it.

rick29148

if they are that dumb, GO FOR IT !!!!

audrey

Not hardly.

No I would not do it. If you got evicted they will not let you come back. They have your records and they will remember most likely what your face looks like it hasn't been that many years 6 is enough years but it's also short enough that they could probably remember your face if they have the same managers and landlords and they probably will say no because you screwed it up so bad. I had a roommate that I was friends with in high school all of high school she wasn't the best of girl she was very rude and disrespectful but I was naive and I did not see those things like everybody else tried to tell me so we moved in together we were great but she started to get to a point where I was noticing and turned into damage to the house just because cheese like that and even though it wasn't my fault I can't come back because I was associated with her they don't want people to come back when they get evicted. And they risk doing it again so it's a liability to let them come back and they won't

stephen

Wouldn't be your best choice.

Unless you KNOW the apt has been sold, no don' do that. If it's the same owner, you'll be telling them your current address. And you'll remind them that you owe them money.

babyboomer1001

Of course not. You screwed them over once. Why would they invite that again, especially if you have yet to pay them back, plus interest? In fact, if the judgment remains outstanding, no landlord is going to rent to you because none of them want to be your next victim. Why don't you start by paying off the old judgment? That's number one. Then, when you look to rent elsewhere, you can at least say that you paid your debt - the judgment in full.

boer84

Probably not a good idea try. If its still managed bu the same company they most likely will your name on file. And it would be very bad business practice to bring back tenants that were evicted before.

Landlord365

Slim to nil chance of that happening especially if you still owe them money.

Success

Probably not. It is very likely that you have been blacklisted there.

Anna D

I'm surprised you're able to rent anywhere but I'd be shocked if they'd rent to you there again.

Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷsymmetrieƸ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

I would advise you. next time to pay your debts ... but if there is a new landlord there now. then it could be possible ... that you can rent there again ..
