How do I open the place that has trash in the battery operated pencil sharpener if the place that has trash in the battery operated pencil sharpener can't open?

It will probably come off by unscrewing a half or quarter turn (anti clockwise). After which the pencil off cuts can be safely put in a bin (trash).

The pencil scraps? they should go in normal trash.
