Numbness in tongue and legs? Is it dangerous?

My mom has lupus and lately has been feeling very tired. She hasnt told her doctors about it, even though i’ve been nagging at her to do so. In addition, the past few days she’s been complaining of tooth and gum ache. She just told me that her tounge feels numb as well as her legs and that she feels like something might happen to her. I told her to let me take her to the emergency room but she keeps yelling at me not to make a big deal out of it. Could it be dangerous?
