Why is education cheaper in canada than in the us?

It's subsidised for residents, but much higher for international students. Edit: Still going on about Canadian taxes, I see. I pay virtually no taxes, since I don't have much income.

State colleges and universities are funded in part by taxpayer dollars and the funding varies from state to state. My guess is that Canadians pay more in taxes to keep tuition lower.

Canadians decline to accept the idea that USA citizens are the only honest Americans. Canadian education is a result. Its an improvement.

More state funding. It's the private universities here that are really expensive (though they tend to offer very good financial aid), but in general, the state gives universities more money in Canada. All their top universities are public. Our top universities are mostly private.

University and college education is partially funded by taxes.

It is heavily subsidized by governments. In the USA, it isn't, and the universities there make a profit.

It isn't. It is subsidized by the much higher tax rates. Instead of the recipient paying for it, everyone in the country has to chip in.

Its not cheaper, they are just forcing other people to pay for it through taxation
