Touchpad not letting me scroll?

I have a HP EliteBook 8460p 14-inch LED Notebook (Intel Core i5 2520M processor, 4GB RAM, 320GB Hard drive, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit) and all of a sudden my touchpad stopped allowing me to scroll. It's a pretty old laptop so all of the suggestions I see to fix it aren't working on my laptop. Help!
