Yes... During the adoption home study (for foster, kindship and step parent adoptions) the child will be interviewed as well with age appropriate questions. The judge during finalization will also talk to the child on their wishes to be adopted or not.

Depends on the state. In some an older child can object to termination of their parent's parental rights, which will stop an adoption. Read your states adoption code sections.

I'd say yes, but don't really know. Courts usually take into account the feelings of the child in question if that child is old enough.
