Why do people taking videos of people being beaten not do anything to help?

Because they are arzeholes.

Afraid of getting involved. Could possibility wind up getting hurt or killed. Even both may turn on the rescuer. You just don't know anymore.

Its more fun to watch, and the video might get some attention on Youtube. People are basically selfish.
