Fighting at natural weight?

Would I find success fighting heavier opponents in MMA and boxing if I were to not weight cut and fight at my natural weight, relying heavily on skill and technique to substitute for my size disadvantage?

No-probably not. Those you would face in a lot of cases would have similar skill, background, training, and experience but also be dropping 20-35 pounds to fight down in a lower weight class. You can bet that they will retain some of their greater strength in most cases as well as have the reach and height advantage over you and also capable of using those things to their advantage against you more. While technique and skill counts for a lot you have to remember they also will have some of that rather than it being a situation of you always fighting those with lesser skill, ability, and experience.
